(If you are renting/leasing a facility to meet in, it is the responsibility of the owner to install the AED. You may wish to check with the building manager if they have plan for installation.)
We hope you are now aware that the South Australian Government is improving access to Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) across the state by making them mandatory in certain buildings, which includes church facilities. Compliance is required by 1st January 2026.
The SA Government has provided a $1,000+ GST grant for each church to help in the purchase of a new AED.
The BCSANT office is facilitating the distribution of this grant to Baptist Churches.
1. Complete the Survey
We are asking churches to complete the survey below to help us gain a better understanding of what will be required among our churches.
2. Criteria for receiving the grant
You must:
- Own your building
- Purchase a new AED outright (not on a lease program)
- Provide the receipt to BCSANT before 30th September 2025
3. Process to receive your grant funding
