To become more like Jesus; this is the goal of the Christian life.
As Christians, we are called to show Jesus to the community around us. We can only do that by imitating the life, attitude, and love of Jesus to those he walked and lived amongst. The Apostle John tells us in his gospel that in our lives Jesus is to become greater, we are to become less (John 3:30). We magnify Jesus, and hold him up as the light of hope and truth through our willingness to put him first in our lives.
Baptist Mission Australia’s May Mission Month theme for 2025 is More Like Jesus. We are inviting you and your church to explore what it means to live our lives more obviously for Jesus. Seeking to put him first in everything we do.
Through May we will be considering four key themes. As we seek to become More Like Jesus, what does it look like for us to be:
- Growing as Authentic Partners of Jesus (Mark 1:16-20)
- Doing the Works of Jesus (Mark 1:21-42)
- Investing in People Like Jesus (Mark 3:13-19)
- Partnering Together in God’s Mission (Mark 3:31-35)

Baptist Mission Australia knows that the work we do around Australia and the world can only be done as we partner together to share the love of God with our neighbours. This May let’s journey together to be More Like Jesus.
