In this workshop, we discover the biblical case for future-oriented church leadership. We’ll think generationally and apply practical wisdom to lead our church to thrive beyond our leadership. 

This workshop is for pastoral leaders at every stage who want to:

• Dedicate more time for future-thinking alongside present reality.
• Think and work toward finishing their role well one day.
• Explore what a successful succession/transition process might look like.

Rev Dr Scott Morrison
Scott just turned 54, lives in Sydney and is married to Jodie with their three teenage children. Scott’s background is in Banking and Finance, not-for-profit governance, and church leadership. He is an accredited Baptist Pastor in NSW, and served as the Senior Pastor of Georges River Life Church for 25 years, finishing well in January 2025.
Today, Scott is the NSW Team and Church Leadership Academy Lead at Partners in Ministry, a non-denominational Christian ministry serving over 1500 church leaders across Australia in professional supervision, church health consultancy and leadership development.
He is a writer, communicator, and passionate advocate of vocationally integrated models of discipleship and spiritual leadership of change, both of which were the focus of his Doctor of Ministry.
Scott joins us to talk about a subject he is currently living through and writing on: the meaning and method of finishing a pastoral season well.
