Silent Prayer Retreat

This retreat will be facilitated by Sevenhill Retreat Centre (an Ignatian Spirituality Centre) in an environment of silence, prayer, and rest. This is an individual rather than group retreat, but will be undertaken alongside other Baptist pastors sharing in the experience.

I need not have worried as there was a diverse group of thoughtful Christians present, and much of the time we were, well, silent! The conversations I had with my Spiritual Director were sensitive, respectful, and pertinent.  It was so refreshing to just stop. And to think carefully about a scripture reading. And to turn those thoughts into a slow prayer. And to think again. This was only possible because of the silence – no casual conversations, no mobile phones, and no TV or radio.”
