Registrations have now closed for 2024.

Pastors are invited to join us for a time of connection, encouragement and inspiration.

From Wednesday 7th August to Thursday 8th August, pastors will gather in Hahndorf for keynote sessions, worship, reflection, great food, and enjoyable activities. We believe Pastors Gathering has something for everyone on your pastoral team!

And for the first time, pastors travelling for Pastors Gathering from the Northern Territory (or rural/regional areas) are invited to their own additional gathering on Tuesday 6th August in the afternoon, followed by a shared dinner. This will be hosted free of charge by BCSANT.

You might like to organise ahead of time to catch up with old and new friends before or after Pastors Gathering. Or, if you have a team, you might like to think about staying an extra night with them as a part of your team building and retreat rhythm. We are looking forward to being able to share together, encourage one another, and be inspired!

Allan is the Senior Pastor of NewHope Baptist Church in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne, a position he has held since moving to Australia from Canada in 1995. Allan has a wider ministry, to the Church in his local area serving as the Chair of Whitehorse Churches Care, Ltd., and to the Baptist movement nationally serving as the vice-chair of Baptist World Aid Australia. He teaches preaching at Whitley College in Victoria and he holds a PhD in education and homiletics. Leadership mentoring, organisational consulting and conference speaking are extensions of Allan’s leadership and communication ministries. He is married to Janet, an artist, and they have three adult children and two grandchildren.

Tim is an ordained minister with experience in church planting and pastoral leadership. He has also served with several para-church organisations. Tim teaches theology and practical ministry and his research areas are the English Reformation and eschatology. Before moving into theological education and ministry formation, Tim served in local church ministry for ten years, where he worked with a number of congregations and led a number of revitalisation projects. Tim is married to Cat and they have three children.

Tim is excited to share with us about ‘Going deep on the simplest truth‘ on Thursday morning.

Jane Day is a Baptist Minister, serving the Baptist Union of Great Britain. Previously she has worked in short-term mission in the DR Congo, Angola, and El Salvador. From 2014 – 2018 she served in South Africa where she initiated a programme Magnify, aimed at empowering and equipping women in leadership. Her current focus is co-lead for Project Violet.

Project Violet is a three-year collaborative research project examining the experiences and place of women in Baptist life, leadership, and ministry. The aim of the project has been to understand more fully the theological, missional, and structural obstacles women ministers face in the Baptist community in England and Wales and identify ways forward. Sixteen women ministers have undertaken research and they met in April 2024 to agree a series of requests for change. The findings were released on 2nd May 2024.

Regional and Northern Territory pastors are invited to gather the evening before Pastors Gathering begins. The afternoon will start at 3pm with encouragement, stories and sharing from with Mark Foley and local regional pastors. A dinner will follow from 6pm in the Stanley Bridge Tavern’s “Top Room”, with input from our keynote Allan Demond.

For no extra cost, register yourself as a regional or NT pastor through the Pastors Gathering registration link to access this great opportunity to share and grow with other pastors in similar ministry contexts. For reimbursement information please contact the BCSANT Office.
