\n \nThis r etreat will be facilitated by Sevenhill Retreat Ce ntre (an Ignatian Spirituality Centre) in an envir onment of silence\, prayer\, and rest. This is an individual rather than group retreat\, but will be undertaken alongside other Baptist pastors sharin g in the experience.
\n \n"Coming from a Pr otestant background\, I wasn't sure what to expect from a Jesuit experience! I need not have worried as there was a diverse group of thoughtful Christ ians present\, and much of the time we were\, well \, silent! The conversations I had with my Spiritu al Director were sensitive\, respectful\, and pert inent. < span style="font-family:Aptos\;">< span style="white-space:normal\;">< i> It was so r efreshing to just stop. And to think carefully abo ut a scripture reading. And to turn those thoughts into a slow prayer. And to think again. This was only possible because of the silence - no casual c onversations\, no mobile phones\, and no TV or rad io."
